FCT ACReSAL Project Team Takes Part in Mid-Term Review & Additional Financing Mission in Lagos
Members of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project participated in the Mid-Term Review and Additional Financing Mission, held at the Lagos Continental Hotel.

The FCT team was led by the Project Coordinator, Mrs. Caroline Opara, with all PIU members in attendance.

In her opening remarks, the World Bank ACReSAL Project Task Team Leader, Dr. Joy Iganya Agene, applauded the progress made across participating states since the project began four years ago. She commended the Federal Government for embracing the project and acknowledged the commitment of key line ministries—Water Resources, Environment, and Agriculture.

Dr. Agene also thanked the authorising environment across the 19 participating states and the FCT, as well as traditional institutions, for their support, which has been instrumental to the project’s successes. She noted that the mid-term review provides an opportunity to assess progress and ensure seamless implementation moving forward.

Earlier, the National Project Coordinator, Abdulhamid Umar, assured that efforts would be strengthened at both federal and state levels to continue achieving the project’s development objectives.

The three-day event brought together all 19 states, the FCT, and representatives from relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. It featured presentations and interactive sessions.
