The Project Coordinator of the Agro Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscape (ACReSAL) in the Federal Capital Territory Mrs. Caroline Opara has restated the readiness of the project to collaborate with competent organization’s that are dedicated to advancing sustainable agriculture towards achieving the overall objective of the ACReSAL Project.
Mrs. Opara made this known when she led members of the FCT ACReSAL Project Implementation Unit on a field visit to the operational hub of Sa’I’ Anwara’I Ju’Mai Consultaire Limited (SCL), a leading indigenous agro-allied company at Dafa Community in Kwali Area Council.
The visit to the site according to her, was primarily aimed at gaining first-hand knowledge of the cutting-edge agricultural techniques and technologies that SCL has successfully implemented, stressing that the activities are in tune with the components of the ACReSAL Project. The visit she further explained will enable the FCT team gather gather insights into practices as they relate to the goals of the ACReSAL Project on land reclamation and investments that have the potentials of improving community resilience and productivity of the agricultural sector in the face of climatic challenges.
In his remarks, the President and Founder of SCL, Dr Andrew kwasar, the organization has been at the forefront of agribusiness initiatives, offering a wide spectrum of services ranging from research and knowledge transfer, crop and livestock production to agricultural consulting. He added that the organization’s philosophy is anchored on creating sustainable and profitable agribusinesses that supports integrated and symbiotic relationship between the environment, livestock, and human activities.
He conveyed the willingness of the company the to partner with ACReSAL particularly in the areas of research and training initiatives that may help in replicating similar sustainable farms in any part of the FCT.
