Enrichment planting (32ha) and perimeter fencing of three surviving plantations.

Enrichment planting of 200 ha with desirable tree species, at Kujekwa, and Buga forests.

Engagement of consultant for the study and supervision of engineering design on earth dam rehabilitation in Pandagi-Abaji, of earth dam construction in Rafin Zurfi , and land reclamation, in Tsauni Gwagwalada Area Council of FCT.

Establishment of two (hectares) climate smart agricultural demonstration farm in (2) Area Councils.

Identification and formation of Community Interest Groups (CIGS).

Sensitization, capacity building of youth and women group on community revolving loan scheme.

Engagement of consultant for ground water studies of some areas in FCT.

Purchasing of GRM tools/Training of GRM officer on the usage of GRM tools.

Sensitization of communities on the use of GRM tools.

Training of officers on Gender Mainstreaming in Developmental Project.

Engagement of consultant for GIS baseline catchment mapping and delineation of 2 gullies and 2 dams in FCT.

Engagement of State focal NGOS.

ACReSAL COMPONENTS

The ACReSAL project comprises four components. Please see below for details.

Dryland Management

This component will implement integrated watershed management planning and address challenges of large-scale watershed degradation in northern Nigeria. It consists of the following sub-components:
(i) strategic watershed planning;
(ii) landscape investments; and
(iii) special ecosystems

Community Climate Resilience.

It consists of the following sub-components:
(i) community strengthening; and
(ii) community investments.

Institutional Strengthening and Project Management

This component includes investments to improve the enabling institutional and policy foundation for multisectoral integrated landscape management and climate resilience, as well as support to project management. It consists of the following sub-components:
(i) institutional and policy strengthening; and
(ii) project management.

Contingent Emergency Response (CERC)

This is a financing mechanism available to borrowers in investment project financing (IPF) operations to enable quick deployment of uncommitted funds to respond to an eligible crisis or emergency
