The residents of Ike community in the Kwali Area Council trooped out to celeberate the flow of water from the solar-powered borehole constructed by the FCT ACReSAL Project under its livelihood support initiative aimed at providing sustainable and enviromentally friendly source of potable water for both domestic and agricultural uses in communities of the FCT.

This development will undoubtedly ease the daily struggles associated with water scarcity, especially for women and children who often bear the brunt of traveling far to fetch water.

Eight communities in the FCT have been earmarked to benefit from this project, all of which are at different stages of completion.

The project has already reached out to the FCT Water Board to conduct quality assessment analysis to ensure its suitability for consumption and other uses.
